This week, life is slowly returning to Opatija's cafes and restaurants, and Opatija's caterers and hoteliers have decided to mark the two-month period of closed facilities and distance to guests with a special "19 days of defiance" action.
Over the next 19 days, ie until June 1, the vast majority of restaurants and hotels in Opatija will offer their visitors special benefits, tailored to the offer and type of premises - from discounts on certain services to a general discount of a symbolic "Kovid" 19 percent. With the symbolism of number 19, they want to express defiance of the pandemic and faith in a better coming period.
"We are extremely glad that this initiative was launched by Opatija's caterers, who are also the main bearers of Opatija's prestigious reputation as a top gastro destination. In these demanding times, they showed their proactivity and creativity, and in cooperation with the Tourist Board of the city of Opatija, encouraged other tourist entities to get involved in the action. Thus, our economy together decided to show defiance of the consequences of the pandemic and reward the first guests who returned to the long-delayed habits of enjoying coffee or dinner with romantic views of Opatija.", Said the director of the Opatija Tourist Board Suzi Petričić.
This action includes various restaurants, cafes, pastry shops, cafes and bars, as well as hoteliers, but also the Thalasso Wellness Center, which will also offer special benefits to its visitors until the beginning of June.
Hotels Bevanda, Domino, Mali Raj, Navis, Pansion Učka, Paris, Villa Ariston, Villa Dubrava, Villa Kapetanović, Villa Schubert were opened in May and will also take part in the "defiance" action and will additionally prepare numerous special offers.
Other Opatija hoteliers, according to the announcements, will open their doors in early June.
