57. Vinkovac autumns - the story of tradition and heritage continues

The biggest manifestation that nurtures Croatian tradition, the Vinkovac Autumn, will once again shine brightly after two years marked by the pandemic. Introductory programs have already been held, and traditionally, the event opened with the performances of the county's cultural and artistic societies.

From September 9 to 18, all lovers of tradition will be able to enjoy a rich program prepared by local and visiting KUDs from Croatia and abroad. For ten days, Vinkovci will become a showcase of the Croatian tradition that has been nurtured in these areas for more than half a century.

From Friday, September 9 to Wednesday, September 14, about fifty cultural and artistic societies from the area of ​​Vukovar-Srijem County will present themselves in the county fair of folklore, i.e. Folkloric evenings, which were officially opened last night.

"These days we like to boast that we are the capital of traditional culture, so from today when we show what we have in our county with Folklore Evenings, we certainly are. I hope that we will enjoy these 10 days in Vinkovci", said the mayor of Vinkovac, Ivan Bosančić.

The County Fair of Folklore is an introduction to the State Fair, which will be held next weekend on the central stage of the Vinkovac Autumns. But before that, i.e. this weekend of Vinkovac autumn, traditionally, they are dedicated to children. About 2500 small guardians of tradition will perform in various programs through Vinkovci.

This year too Opening ceremony The Vinkovac autumns can be followed by the whole of Croatia via small screens. On Friday, September 16, on the Main Stage, they will present a theatrical performance of the opening ceremony "Plain, all in the ear of golden grain!" which is also the theme of this year's 57th Vinkovac autumns. The last two days of the traditional program, September 17 and 18, are scheduled State review of original Croatian folklore. The highlight of the program is on Sunday, September 18, when it will take place Festive parade with over 75 cultural and artistic societies and 30 teams.

For many years, the Vinkovac autumns have not only been a traditional manifestation. The accompanying program will also include numerous interesting events this fall. This year, Vinkovac autumns will also be offered two newspapers. The first is the ferris wheel, an attraction that will surely delight both the hosts and the guests, because "sky view" is ideal for all those who crave adrenaline and great heights. Bircuz is a new gathering place for lovers of the shock culture of living. Wines, brandies, liqueurs, water, natural juices, bread from the bread oven, lard and red pepper, sausages, cheeses... modeled after the former Šokák inns. Inevitably, there is also a live tambourine soundstage.
