Representation of the Croatian National Tourist Board in Italy presents the Croatian tourist offer at the most important international fair of tourism professionals in the south of Italy.

It is about the fair BMT (Mediterranean Stock Exchange of tourism), which is held in Naples from March 16 to 18 and at which, along with the Croatian Tourist Board, six co-exhibitors are presented, including the tourist boards of Zadar, Šibenik-Knin and Split-Dalmatia counties and the city of Dubrovnik, as well as the national shipping company Jadrolinija and the tour operator Amatori.

"By appearing at the BMT fair in Naples, we want to maintain the visibility and recognition of Croatia as an attractive and high-quality tourist destination on the Italian market. Thus, we highlighted the Croatian tourist offer and products to the visitors of the fair, while we discussed cooperation with partners aimed at further strengthening the sale of travel arrangements Croatia. This was also a great opportunity to further highlight Croatia's entry into Schengen, which will have a positive effect on further tourist developments and trends towards Croatian tourism. This particularly applies to shorter trips, upcoming holidays and extended weekends for Easter, Liberation Day of Italy and Labor Day, when an increased number of trips by Italians is expected", she pointed out Viviana Vukelic, director of the HTZ Representative Office in Italy, adding that the announcements are good, but also that Italians are known for last-minute bookings.  

During the first two days of the fair, a large number of business meetings, presentations, workshops and business meetings were held, and when we talk about Croatia, the partners showed great interest and confirmed the demand for Croatian destinations, especially for destinations in Dalmatia.

A large number of inquiries related to group trips and trips with family and children, interest was also expressed in trips for young people with an emphasis on music festivals, and information was also sought on airlines, beaches, islands and other parts of the offer, according to HTZ.

Today's last day of the fair is open to the general public, so many fair visitors will be able to get additional information about Croatian destinations.

Fair BMT in Naples, an indispensable meeting place for all tourism workers operating in the territory of Italy. This year, the fair brought together more than 400 exhibitors, including numerous national tourist organizations, as well as tour operators, professional associations, shipping companies, cruise and airline companies, and railway carriers.

According to system data eVisitor Italians have spent almost 80 nights in Croatia so far this year, which represents a growth of 2019 percent compared to the same period in 2. Italians spent the most nights in Zagreb, Rijeka, Umag, Opatija and Rovinj.
