As we know, at the initiative of Jan de Jong for Croatia to introduce visas for digital nomads, a meeting was held in August with Prime Minister Andrej Plenković to discuss legislation that should allow free entry and work for digital by the end or beginning of the second year. nomads. The first international conference for digital nomads in Croatia, more precisely Dubrovnik, was held. And all this led to the fact that at the end of November, a new Law on Foreigners was passed in the Croatian Parliament, according to which visas for digital nomads.
The association will have five received goals highlights Tanja J. Polegubic, and the mission is to support digital nomads who want to come, ie move their office to Croatia. They also want to create communities, collaborate and help destinations how to attract digital nomads, connect them with universities and companies.
"The first goal is to give digital nomads all the general information about life and work in Croatia as a digital nomad. The second is education, from various workshops and programs that will be conducted by digital nomads, to cooperation with various faculties, companies and give a positive example that Croatia can work in the global market. We also want to be supportive of destinations on how to attract and retain digital nomads in their cities or regions. One of the main goals is to create and develop a community of digital nomads throughout Croatia, as well as a partner certification program. And the last primary goal of the Association is to be a legitimate representative of digital nomads in Croatia. Which means that we will have information on the problems and challenges in real life of digital nomads in Croatia and communicate them to the relevant Ministries and cities in order to improve, upgrade and solve all possible shortcomings and challenges that digital nomads in Croatia have.Polegubic pointed out.
