Croatian airports record an increase in passenger traffic compared to 2023

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in September 2024. total passenger traffic in Croatian airports amounted to one million and 741 thousand, which is 13,7% more than in September 2023., when a traffic of one million and 531 thousand passengers was achieved.

The highest passenger traffic was achieved by Split airport, 533 thousand, which is an increase of 5,1% compared to September 2023, when 507 thousand passengers were transported. It is followed by Dubrovnik airport, with 421 thousand transported passengers, which is an increase of 2023% compared to September 19,1, and Zagreb airport, with 419 thousand transported passengers, which is an increase of 14%.

The most significant international passenger traffic was realized with the airports of Germany, 339 thousand passengers, which is 8,2% more compared to September 2023. The airports of the United Kingdom follow, with 302 thousand transported passengers, which is compared to the same period last year more by 9,2%, and the airports of France, with 125 thousand transported passengers, which is 25,8% more.

The total number of aircraft landings and takeoffs at airports in September 2024 was 16, which is an increase of 512% compared to September 8,8, when the number of landings and takeoffs was 2023. Total cargo traffic at airports in September 15 amounted to 177 tons, which is an increase of 2024% compared to September 1, when cargo traffic amounted to 140 tons

In the period from January to September 2024. 115 aircraft landings and takeoffs were made at Croatian airports, which is an increase of 11,8% compared to the same period in 2023. In the same period, a total of 11 million and 141 thousand passengers were boarded and disembarked, which is an increase of 15,9%.
