In the competition between 141 countries, Croatia with an average score of 5,6 - together with Denmark and Taiwan - shares 12th place in the world ranking of the best road infrastructures, the company announced Croatian highways (HAC).

Along with the report of the World Economic Forum, a ranking list of the quality of road infrastructure in 141 countries was published. Thus, Singapore has the highest average score of 6,5, while behind the group of countries with an average score that includes Croatia, there are some significantly more developed countries such as the United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Luxembourg, Qatar, the USA and others.

Of the neighboring countries, Slovenia is in 36th place, while Hungary, for example, is in 69th place.

We remind you that in 2018, in competition among 137 countries, with an average score of 5,5, Croatia shared 13th place with Denmark, Oman, Germany, Spain, Qatar, Sweden and Luxembourg. From this group, the only improvement in infrastructure was shown by Croatia and Spain, while the rest of the countries are currently ranked lower than Croatia in terms of road infrastructure quality.

The quality of our highways is the result of continuous investment in infrastructure through regular and extraordinary maintenance and investment in projects to increase traffic safety, HAC announced.

"Regardless of the quality of the highways, we are in the heart of the tourist season when traffic is the highest, so we ask users to adapt their driving to the road conditions in order to reach their destination safely", appeal from Croatian Motorways.
