Hungary will tighten border crossing rules from September 1st to prevent the spread of coronavirus as the number of new infections grows in neighboring countries, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Friday. Reuters.
"As the school year begins, we will no longer be able to have the same border crossing system used during the summer"Orban said.
Croatia is still on the green list in Hungary, so for now there is no special regime for crossing the border. Under current regulations, those returning from countries with a higher rate of infection must only be quarantined for 14 days unless they produce two negative viruses.
What the rules will be from September 01, is not yet stated. According to the media narrative that is being communicated, there is already a pattern of all countries slowly closing or tightening borders due to the beginning of the school year.
