Jasmin Bajić, President of the Management Board of Croatia Airlines, was re-elected to the Management Board today (The Board of Governors) of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The decision on re-election was made on the proposal of the IATA Nomination Committee, which was adopted today at the annual General Assembly of the association in Dubai. The new mandate of the President of the Croatia Airlines Management Board will begin at the end of 2024 and will last for the next three years.

Jasmin Bajić received his first mandate in the IATA Board of Directors on March 6 of this year, which was a great international recognition for the Croatian national airline, which became a member of IATA in 1992 and with its 35 years of professional experience and knowledge, contributes daily to quality to the work of this organization, actively shaping an even safer, more sustainable and more accessible aviation market to all key stakeholders. 

IATA is the International Air Transport Association, whose membership includes more than 320 airlines, or 83% of total international air traffic. It plays a crucial role in the field of air transport, while its members, through their daily activities, actively participate in shaping the future growth of a safe, secure and sustainable air transport industry, which connects and enriches the world in which we live and travel.

Jasmin Bajić was elected president and CEO of Croatia Airlines in November 2017, and joined Croatia Airlines in 1995. During his 29 years at Croatia Airlines, he performed various managerial functions, including corporate planning, strategy, fleet planning, network management, finance and controlling. Before being appointed to the position of President and CEO of Croatia Airlines, he was the Director of Controlling and Internal Audit, and during his previous work he was also active in scientific research work in the field of the aviation industry and published more than 30 publications.

With his re-appointment to the ATA Board of Directors, he will make an additional contribution to Croatia Airlines and the Republic of Croatia, actively participating in this way in the new chapters of the Croatian aviation industry.
