The Tourist Council of the Zadar County Tourist Board, at its session on August 19, 2024, passed a Decision on the dismissal of Mihaela Kadija from the position of director of the Zadar County Tourist Board.
After almost 10 years in this position, director Kadija is leaving her position for personal reasons and believes that she will continue her career in tourism, contributing to the further development of Zadar County, the Tourist Board announced.
"Today is a special day for me, full of emotions, as I say goodbye to my position as director of the Zadar County Tourist Board. Almost ten years of working in this position passed incredibly quickly, filled with challenges, but also with many successes.
I would like to express my deep gratitude to the President of the Council, the Prefect of Zadar County, Mr. Longin, as well as the entire Tourist Board, for the trust and support they have shown me all this time. Without their leadership and vision, many of the things we have accomplished would not have been possible.
For me, this position was never just a job, but also an opportunity to serve my community and contribute to the development of Zadar County. I am proud of everything we have done together as a team in the Tourist Board and the entire system these years. Along with the continuous growth of tourist traffic, we developed tourist products specifically for the tourism industry, creating a synergy between the public and private sectors, continuously working on the most demanding job - the development and promotion of a year-round tourist destination.
But, of course, I could not have achieved any of this without the support of the great team with whom I had the honor to work, primarily in the TZZŽ office, but also in the TZ system and the tourism sector - countless colleagues with a selfless, positive and constructive approach with whom we it was an honor to overcome many challenges and celebrate many successes. I thank them for all their hard work, dedication and friendship.
Just as every journey has its beginning, it also has its end. However, I believe that every end is also a new beginning. Although I am saying goodbye to this position today, I am sure that my tourism journey in our destination is not over.
Finally, I would like to thank all media representatives in Zadar County. Your professional and credible transmission to the public of the work of the Zadar County Tourist Board during my work there was an incentive and a responsibility. Thank you for your trust, support and cooperation. It was an unforgettable decade that I will carry in my heart forever", Kadija wrote in her farewell statement.
Regarding the director's resignation, the president of the tourist council, prefect Božidar Longin, said:
"I want to thank you for your dedicated work and the results you achieved at the head of the Zadar County Tourist Board in the past period. Your efforts and dedication to this work have brought significant changes and raised the quality of tourism in Zadar County to a new level. Our cooperation was excellent, which is reflected in the achieved results. I wish you much success in your future work and the projects you will work on."
