Nikolina Brnjac, Minister of Tourism and Sports, accompanied by Monika Udovicic, Director of the Directorate for the System of Tourist Boards, Categorization and Legal Affairs and Tomislav Fain, President of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies - UHPA, paid a working visit to the city of Pag.
The minister was welcomed in Pag by the hosts, Ante Fabijanić, President of the Tourist Board and Mayor of the City of Pag, and Vesna Karavanić, Director of the Tourist Board of the City of Pag. As part of the visit, a working meeting was held where potential programs of the TZ of the City of Pag for the upcoming tourist season were presented. The minister supported the idea of starting religious tourism in the city of Pag, and a working meeting will soon be held on this topic in Zagreb.
After the meeting, a gathering was held with the members of the Tourism Council of the City of Pag, in which, in addition to the members, Jasna Magaš, president of the City Council of the City of Pag, and Branimir Paro Vidolin, winner of the award for the best small landlord in Zadar County in 2023 in the category "Rooms with services breakfast" and other tourism workers from the city of Pag.
After socializing, according to the official program, the minister visited the Benedictine monastery of St. Margarite and visited the Permanent Exhibition of Church Art and expressed her enthusiasm for the rich cultural, religious and traditional heritage preserved by the Benedictines of Pag. The minister visited the Pag Lace Gallery and saw how Pag lace is made, which is in the UNESCO register of intangible cultural heritage. She also visited the Solar Exhibition in the Salt Magazine, where she was introduced to the products and the tourist offer that Solana Pag is planning with the aim of developing tourism. At the end of the visit, she visited the Paška cheese factory, where she learned about the production and promotion of Paška cheese.
