Thanks to the nice weather and the rich Advent program, Poreč realized 19% more tourist overnight stays and 25% more arrivals compared to 2022. In December, guests from Italy were the most numerous, with 36% more overnight stays compared to 2022, followed by guests from Austria with 1% fewer overnight stays, and guests from Slovenia with even 54% more overnight stays. In fourth place in terms of overnight stays are guests from Croatia with an increase of 20%, and in fifth place are guests from Germany with 40% more overnight stays than the previous year. In December, the most guests were on New Year's Eve, when 4.765 guests stayed in the City of Poreč. According to the type of accommodation the most overnight stays in December were in hotel accommodation (81%).
According to data collected from the eVisitor system (traffic in commercial and non-commercial tourist facilities) in the period from January 1 to December 31, 2023. 3.457.090 tourist overnights were realized in the area of the City of Poreč, which represents an increase of 1% compared to 2022, and 642.543 tourist arrivals, i.e. 5% more compared to the previous year.
Realized tourist traffic shows how the destination is visited by a large number of guests who are in Poreč kept a little shorter than last year. The most overnight stays were made by guests from Germany with 1.060.836 overnight stays (-5%) and 135.542 arrivals (-3%), followed by guests from Austria with 647.490 overnight stays (+5%) and 137.566 arrivals (+7%). In the mentioned period, guests from Slovenia had 309.389 overnight stays (+6%), and 72.095 arrivals (+6%). From the fourth broadcasting market, that of Italy, 225.994 overnight stays (+2%) and 58.245 arrivals (+8%) were achieved. In fifth place is the Croatian market, which achieved 206.021 overnight stays (+13%) and 70.290 arrivals (+15%).
