Members of the Management and Supervisory Board of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies (UHPA) had the opportunity to connect with stakeholders of the region that leads the development of year-round tourism on the Croatian coast, as part of a two-day study visit to the Split-Dalmatia County, on February 13 and 14, 2025. 

Representatives of travel agencies were hosted by the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board and the Split City Tourist Board, which have been focusing their management capacities on sustainability, authenticity and quality for many years, as evidenced by numerous awards and excellent tourism results.

Therefore, this meeting is an excellent opportunity to connect local stakeholders with tourist agencies, the carriers of organized arrivals in the pre- and post-season, not only to further improve the quality of the tourist offer and services, but also to further strengthen the development of year-round tourism in Central Dalmatia.

"This study visit is not only an opportunity to strengthen cooperation, but also to connect our communities more deeply with key tourism stakeholders. Our approach to tourism, focused on sustainability and authenticity, is not just a targeted strategy, but a reflection of our values ​​and connection to this area. Through such meetings with travel organizers, we want to show that our region is not just a beautiful destination, but a vibrant, dynamic place that offers rich experiences throughout the year. Every moment spent in our county is filled with stories that tell of tradition, people and nature, and our goal is to make these stories even more present and accessible to all visitors. We look forward to continuing our cooperation with UHPA and creating new opportunities for the development of tourism in our region," ishe stopped Ivana Vladović, director of the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board.

UHPA organizes a study visit to one of the domestic destinations at least once a year. For selected destinations, this is an opportunity to present themselves to travel organizers and open up new opportunities for cooperation.

Director of the Split Tourist Board, Alijana Vuksic stated that the study visit to Split-Dalmatia County represents a key initiative for connecting UHPA representatives and local stakeholders, opening up new opportunities for the improvement and development of year-round tourism on the Croatian coast.Through a guided tour of the city of Split and a visit to the Sinjska Alka Museum, participants had the opportunity to learn about the wealth of our cultural heritage and highlight the authenticity and sustainability of the tourist offer. This meeting confirms the strategic approach of the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board and the Split City Tourist Board, focused on quality, innovation and long-term cooperation, which further strengthens the foundation for the development of tourism in Central Dalmatia.

Tomislav Fain, President of UHPA, highlighted the association's long-standing successful cooperation with the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board and the Split City Tourist Board, which resulted in the organization of this study visit. Study visits are an opportunity to get to know directly service providers, attractions, events and programs that are implemented in the destination, and they are precisely the key elements for the development of new tourist arrangements and the extension of the main tourist season.

During the two-day study visit, a session of the UHPA body was held at the Cornaro Hotel in Split. After a tour of the city, Fain praised the management of the tourist offer of Split, but also of the entire Split-Dalmatia County, and stated: "With the busiest airport in the country, countless  "With its many attractions and extremely diverse tourist offer, Split-Dalmatia County is undoubtedly one of the most important tourist centers in our country, but it also has its own specificities. This visit allowed us to see first-hand the current offer and challenges facing the local tourism sector. We stand with our long-standing partners and believe that our visit will result in new initiatives and projects that will contribute to the further growth and development of tourism in the region. We thank the hosts for their hospitality and excellent organization, and we look forward to future cooperation."
