Croatian tourist agency and this year organizes an awards ceremony "Golden Pen", which will be in 19th edition awarded to foreign journalists, travel bloggers and influencers for the best media publications about Croatia as a tourist destination in the past year.
The co-organizers and hosts of this year's award are tourist board of Šibenik-Knin County i of the city of Šibenik, which are for 32 foreign journalists, travel bloggers and influencers prepared a multi-day program of visiting destinations, sights and attractions in the county.
For guests, who come from even 18 countries such as Germany, France, Spain, USA, Canada, China, Great Britain, etc., a rich program has been prepared that begins April 18th and which includes a tour of the city of Šibenik with a tourist guide. The next day, that is April 19th a tour of the Krka National Park with special emphasis on Roški slap, Skradinski Buk and Visovac is planned. Tour of the Fortress of St. Nikola, as well as the Testament and Baraka wineries and oyster farms Oyster22 are planned April 20th, and on the same day, in the evening hours, a ceremonial award ceremony is planned "Golden Pen".
By awarding the "Golden Pen" award, the Croatian Tourist Board especially emphasizes and valorizes the value of positive and affirmative reporting on Croatia in foreign media, and expresses thanks and recognition to the media for their immeasurable contribution to the promotion of Croatian tourism in the world.
This year's "Golden Pen" statue was created by a well-known Šibenik artist Zvonimir Villa, who used oak wood over 100 years old when making the award.
