The Slovenian camping web portal Avtokampi.si organized a competition for the best camp in Croatia and Slovenia this year - Let's camp Adria. It is a contest in which campers vote for their favorite camps throughout the season, and this year it is held for the fourteenth time.
Prizes were awarded as part of Croatian congress camping, which was held from November 11 to 13 in the Terme Tuhelj.
Camping has become an increasingly popular form of vacation in recent years, and visitors can choose between different forms of camping: tents, caravans, campers, mobile homes or glamping tents.
Croatian camps had a season similar to last year's, with 21,2 million overnight stays until the beginning of November, which is 1% less than last year. This slight difference can be explained by higher camping prices, worse weather conditions in June and September, early Halloween holidays in Germany and the European football championship that took place in Germany, where the largest number of tourists come from.
Slovenians, who traditionally enjoy camping in Croatia, achieved a new record this year with more than 540.000 arrivals and as many as 3,14 million overnight stays, which is 3,6% more than last year. With this number of overnight stays, they took second place (15%), behind the Germans with 36%, and ahead of the Austrians with 10%. Among the favorite camps of Slovenian guests are those on Lošinj, Medulin, Novalja, Umag and Vrsar.
