South Koreans recognized Zagreb County as a tourist destination

Tonight we welcomed the first flight of the South Korean airline T'way Air on the regular route Seoul - Zagreb. There were as many as 337 passengers who arrived in Croatia.

This re-established the air bridge between Seoul and Zagreb after five years. T'way Air will fly to Zagreb three times a week, from May 16 to October 26, and Zagreb is the first destination in Europe for this airline.

"To connect the world with Croatia, with the Zagreb County is our mission. To increase visibility, to make our destinations easily accessible. After five years, we are connected by a direct flight to the emissive market of South Korea, which has always recognized the natural beauty and significance of continental Croatia.", said the director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board, Ivana Alilović, and stressed that the Zagreb County has always been recognized as a tourist destination on the market, and they expect a significant increase in tourist arrivals from South Korea.

According to data from the eVisitor system, Zagreb County saw 2023 times more arrivals in 10 with an eight-fold increase in overnight stays by tourists from South Korea compared to 2022. Last year, the most guests from South Korea stayed in Jastrebarski, over 70% of overnight stays, while in Velika Gorica there were 16,5% more overnight stays, and in Samobor there was a 12% increase in overnight stays.
