The public call for participation in the competition was announced today at a press conference in the premises of the Zagreb County. Ivana Alilović, director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board, emphasized on this occasion that the Zagreb County is recognized as a top food and wine destination close to the metropolis, with a multitude of cultural, traditional and modern events.
"In addition to the cultural and historical attractions of our area, the green Zagreb ring attracts many lovers of sports, nature and outdoor activities. The constant growth in the number of visits to our destination and the increase in the number of overnight stays is the result of joint work in creating a unique and recognizable tourist story. And we create it in cooperation with valuable tourism workers, recognizable tourist facilities, innovative services and tourist experiences... We dedicate the "Rose of Zagreb County" award to them., Alilović said.
