The Tourist Board of the Split-Dalmatia County expresses its deep gratitude to all the firefighters, members of the emergency services and volunteers who have shown exceptional courage and sacrifice in extinguishing fires along the coast in recent days. in the area of the Split-Dalmatia County, especially in Tučepi (which included part of the Biokovo Nature Park) and in Vrsine near Trogir.
In these challenging moments, the firefighters have once again shown their commitment to preserving the safety of the local population as well as all visitors to the Split-Dalmatia County.
"We sincerely thank all our firefighters who have been working tirelessly for days to prevent the fire from spreading. Thanks to their efforts and quick reaction, the situation at the fire sites is more favorable today, and the tourist season in our county runs smoothly. Despite the challenging circumstances, our guests still feel safe and welcome. With the joint efforts of firefighters, lives and homes were saved and further devastation of natural beauty was prevented, enabling visitors to continue enjoying the beauty of our region and take with them beautiful memories." she stated Ivana Vladović, director of TZ SDŽ.
A special thanks also goes to the firefighters from other parts of Croatia who selflessly came to the rescue, joining forces to stop the spread of the fire and protect lives and property.
