With the Valamar Pical project, Poreč is positioned as a high-quality year-round destination

The project worth 139 million euros will offer year-round tourism of the highest quality

In Poreč, a contract was solemnly signed between Valamar and the construction company Kamgrad on the continuation of the construction of the Pical resort, the largest single investment in Croatian tourism, worth 139 million euros.

Hotel Pical 5* will have 513 accommodation units, 10 themed restaurants and bars, a wellness center, well-kept beaches and beach clubs, outdoor and indoor swimming pools and facilities for various types of vacation. For families, Pical will offer the Maro World educational playroom on more than 1.200 square meters, Maro clubs, children's playgrounds and an entertainment program intended for families. 

The offer will also include a number of contents for an active holiday: the new Parenzana Bike Center, outdoor running tracks, water sports and an indoor 25-meter swimming pool. It is important to point out that Pical beach, all sports and entertainment facilities, indoor swimming pool, promenades and other recreational facilities will be open to the general public, that is, guests, visitors and local residents will be able to use them.

The Pical zone will become the most attractive tourist zone in Croatia and will be presented by one of the best congress centers with a multifunctional hall with a capacity of up to 1.200 participants.

Completion of the works is scheduled for the end of 2025, and pre-sales, employment and training of employees will begin already this year. Hotel Pical will employ approx 600 employees in permanent positions of high value and will provide an excellent opportunity for career development in the hotel industry.

In 2024, the Valamar group plans to invest a total of 82 million euros in the portfolio, improving the quality of services, digitization, green construction, sustainable energy sources and tourist infrastructure in all destinations.

Valamar continues with significant this year investments in employees, and increases the salary of more than 5 employees, opens an additional 400 positions for an indefinite period, and this year pays an additional 400 euros to all employees who live or move permanently to destinations.

Also, for many years, Valamar has placed a special emphasis on business localization so 78% of its food and beverages are procured in Croatia and it employs around 80% of domiciled employees.
