Zagreb County won global recognition for innovations in the promotion of continental tourism

The Zagreb County Tourist Board concludes this successful year by winning an award Tourist Information Platform Of The Year – Croatia, awarded by the prestigious organization Corporate LiveWire - Global Awards. The award confirms the status of Zagreb County as an innovative leader in the promotion of continental tourism, emphasizing the importance of dedicated work on sustainable development and international recognition of the destination.

Also, this platform recognizes organizations that have demonstrated excellence in innovation, sustainability and promotion, and the Tourist Board of Zagreb County stood out for its work on strengthening the visibility of the destination in key markets such as the UK.

"This recognition confirms our continuous work on improving the tourist offer and promoting Zagreb County as an attractive boutique and sustainable destination. The award is not only a reflection of our efforts, but also of cooperation with the local community, tourism workers and all partners who contribute to the development of our tourism. International visibility market, especially the British one, is crucial for our further development. This award further motivates us to continue to raise standards and promote the region as a destination that captures attention on a global level.", said the director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board, Ivana Alilović.

During 2024, Zagreb County continued to implement key projects and campaigns that have already been recognized on the domestic and international scene.

In addition to this award, the Tourist Board of Zagreb County can boast by winning the Green Destinations certificate, which confirms the sustainability of the destination, as well as awards for destination excellence at the tourist fair in Lugano, Switzerland, and numerous awards at the Days of Croatian Tourism.

Acknowledgments and awards come as a result of a strategic approach and continuous investment in promotion, sustainability and innovation, whereby the Zagreb County Tourist Board confirms its status as a leading regional continental destination.
