ACI dd earned more than 5 million euros in the first quarter of 2024

The largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean and the regional leader of the nautical sector, ACI dd, continued its positive growth trend in the first quarter of 2024.

After the past business year, the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the national nautical chain, received 35,9 million euros in operating income according to the audited annual report, in the first three months of this year the Company earned 5,7 million euros.

It is about indicators higher by 11% or 0,6 million euros more compared to the same period last year, and the most significant increase was recorded in the annual connection service. As a follow-up to the continuous activities that the company carries out to resolve the issue of concession contracts as soon as possible, a total of EUR 0,5 million was invested in maintaining the quality of the infrastructure in the first quarter, primarily in ACI marinas Rab, Skradin and "Veljko Barbieri".

"The Company's operations in the first quarter of this year were characterized primarily by preparation for the upcoming season, both in terms of commercial conditions and relations with business partners, as well as through the preparation of marinas in the investment segment and maintenance of concession areas. The above is also reflected in the achieved results of the company's operations, so it is not surprising that the business income increased by 11% compared to the same period last year. We achieve good results through continuous progress in the field of nautical services and infrastructure, and this quarter we achieved them thanks to the increase in income from annual mooring services. We believe that we are fully prepared for the upcoming period, and we enter the new season encouraged by the significant increase in business income recorded already in the first quarter.", pointed out the president of the Management Board of ACI dd Kristijan Pavić.

In the first quarter of this year, ACI realized EUR 0,5 million in capital investments, which were primarily aimed at maintaining the quality, i.e. safety in providing services to boaters, and to the greatest extent related to the rehabilitation of anchor systems in the ACI marinas Rab, Skradin and "Veljko Barbieri " in Slano.

Furthermore, in the reporting period, there was an increase in sales revenue, which, compared to the comparative period, was higher by 0,6 million euros, which represents a growth of 12%. The biggest growth was recorded from the annual connection service, in the amount of 0,5 million euros.

This is a continuation of the positive growth trend recorded in the past few years. Namely, according to the independent auditor's report, it was confirmed  that in 2023 the national marina chain achieved EUR 35,9 million in business income. At the same time, sales revenues were higher by 2,9 million euros, that is, 9% compared to the previous year and amounted to EUR 34,6 million, and were achieved with the same capacities that ACI has had for many years, which above all reflects the stability of the business. In the past year, a positive gross financial result in the amount of EUR 3,7 million was achieved, as well as EBITDA in the amount of EUR 12,7 million.

The strategic development of the company's operations continues to encounter limitations due to extension of concessions, which remains an issue to which the Company's management is giving full attention, since most of ACI's concession agreements expire in 2030.

In addition to intensive activities related to the extension of concessions, ACI is dedicated to the preparation of marinas for the beginning of the nautical season in 2024, and the realization of significant investments is also planned. These are strategic investments worth 12,5 million euros, part of which has already started in the first quarter.
