This year's edition of the prestigious European camp guide of the German car club ADAC reaffirmed the inspector's assessment that Croatia is still in the company of the highest quality European camps.

ADAC has included it in its list of the best European campsites this year 134 Croatian camps, just like 2019. This year it is 13 campsites who received a special designation Superplatz 2021: Aminess Mareda Maravea, Aminess Sirena from Novigrad, Lanterna Camping Resort in Tara, Istra Premium Camping Resort in Funtana, FKK Valalta, Val Saline, Čikat in Mali Lošinj, Omišalj, Krk Premium and Baška Beach Camping on Krk, Straško and Šimuni on Pag and Zaton Holidays Resort in Nin near Zadar.

In order for the camp to be awarded the Superplaz at all, it had to meet the strict and demanding criteria of ADAC inspectors and achieve the best grades in five categories. The mentioned categories refer to the arrangement of the camp, the possibility of swimming for guests, free time, the supply of the camp and sanitation. To receive the Superplatz award, it is necessary that the average grade of the inspector be 5 out of 5.

ADAC, a German car club founded in 1903, today has 18 million members and is the largest car club with the richest database of campsites in Europe. The ADAC pays special attention to camping, and the popularity and relevance of their guide for campers is evidenced by the fact that it is called the "camping bible".
