The amendment of the Mayor of the City of Novalja, Ivan Daba, to the Act on Hospitality Activities was accepted, introducing an important change in the definition of the term host.

Namely, Dabo proposed an amendment to define host in the Act on Catering Activities as well as renters who have a registered residence on the island of Pag, regardless of which of the two counties into which the island is divided.

Pag is the only island that spans two counties, Lika-Senjska and Zadarska, emphasized Dabo and added that because of this, it also reflects on the status of the hosts in the possibility of providing catering services for accommodation in the household, even though it is about people who have a registered residence in the same island, and are territorially divided into two counties with different headquarters.

Today, the Government representative confirmed that landlords with registered residence on the island of Pag will also be considered hosts, regardless of whether they belong to Lika-Senj or Zadar County.

"Pag is the only island that is divided into two regional self-government units, therefore, in order to overcome the limitations to which the islands are subjected, and with the aim of sustainable development of the island of Pag, Croatian Government accepted the amendment Ivan Dabo Đono by which all renters on the island of Pag are considered hosts", announced Monika Udovicic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

This has addressed the long-standing specificity of the island, which administratively belongs to two counties, which further facilitates business for island renters and improves the tourist offer of the City of Novalja.
