Every year there is a lot of talk about accommodation prices in Croatia.
Are we too expensive? Do we have value for money? As always, the best answer is given by the market, which is the best regulator.
If something is too expensive in the consumer's perception, it won't sell. Even if the higher price is justified due to x reason and parameter - if something is too expensive for the majority or does not have that value for money, they will not buy the same product / service. If the price is at the level of expectations of guests / consumers, then it will be sold. That is why the market is the best regulator.
In tourism, the matter is much broader and more complicated, because tourism is much more than accommodation. We cannot look at the whole situation basically only through the price of accommodation, because the motive of arrival is the destination. And the destination is much more than accommodation.
This year, the market reacted, both to accommodation prices and to prices in destinations through weaker non-boarding consumption. We will soon see how the tourism sector will define its price policy for 2025, and one of the analyzes that can help us a lot is benchmarking or comparison with the competition.
/ / / There is no collapse of Croatian tourism. A market is happening.
