Applications are open for DiscoverEU, which enables young people to travel by train in Europe for free

The European Union's initiative, DiscoverEU, enables young people to travel across Europe, and as of 2018, more than 200.000 people have taken advantage of this opportunity.

Use this opportunity to experience freedom of movement, better understand European diversity, enjoy its cultural richness, make new friends and finally - discover yourself. It's about Interrail tickets which is valid for one month and with which young people can travel Europe completely free of charge.

You will mostly travel by rail. To make access to the entire continent as easy as possible, you will be offered alternatives such as buses or ferries. In exceptional cases, when no other means of transport is available, travel is permitted by plane. This will ensure that young people living in remote areas or on islands also have the opportunity to participate.

Applications are open from April 16 at 12 noon and last until April 30, 2024.

Application conditions:

• date of birth must be between 01.07.2005. and 30.06.2006.
• you have the citizenship of one of the member states of the European Union
• fill in your OIB or passport number on the application form
• you have the citizenship of one of the third countries associated with the Erasmus+ program: Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey
• you start your journey in one of the EU member states
• you plan to start your trip between July 01.07.2024, 30.09.2025. and XNUMX.
• you plan to travel between 1 and 30 days
• you plan to travel to at least 1 and up to 4 destinations in foreign countries within the EU

You can apply as an individual or a group of up to 5 people. A group leader should be appointed for groups. The group leader fills in the application form and participates in the quiz. He/she will receive a code when submitting a request, which will be forwarded to other members of the group to enable their application as well.
