Art cinema Arsen, together with the summer stage at Barone Fortress, became part of Europa Cinemas. It is the most prestigious European network of independent cinemas, consisting of 1221 cinemas and 3060 cinemas in 38 countries. With its film programs on two stages, in the Arsen House of Art and at the Barone Fortress, Šibenik has become a recognized location for movie screenings with an emphasis on European and independent films.
The Europa Cinemas network, created in 1992, is supported by the European Commission and the Creative Europe program, and its main goal is to provide operational and financial support to cinemas that undertake to give a significant part of their programs to non-national European films, and to establish activities for young audiences. The fortress of culture, with the Art cinema Arsen, the holder of cinema screening activity in Šibenik, became part of Europa Cinemas as part of a mini network together with Split's Zlatna vrata Cinema, Zagreb's Dokukin KIC and Metropolis Art cinema, Daruvar's Cinema "30. May" and the Novska City Cinema.
"After two decades of emptiness and the absence of a cinema in the center of the city, our main goal - permanently providing the opportunity to watch carefully selected, recent and cinematographic film productions in Šibenik - has become a reality", they say from the House of Art Arsen and announce the prizes for the loyal audience. Namely, in order to celebrate entering the Europa Cinemas network, for every cinema ticket purchased at the box office, the House of Art will honor Arsen once more. The action refers to the film program of Art cinema Arsen in December.
