Thousands of visitors come to Međimurje again. The reason for coming is the biggest continental festival

Brezje near Čakovec will once again host the Forestland festival from July 18 to 19. For the 13th time, thousands will flock to the idyllic setting of forests and meadows and become part of the "Forestland" movement, family and music festival.

As many as 60 artists will perform at the largest continental festival with a tradition of almost a decade and a half, and the first of them is Baby Lasagna and his band.

"Baby Lasagna is a performer who is called the voice of the new generation, he won our hearts last spring with emotional performances at Eurovision, at numerous festivals, but also at independent concerts in Zagreb and beyond. We didn't hesitate for long when creating the line-up for 2025 and we quickly decided that Baby Lasagna must become part of our Forest family", He said Saša Mikac, booking manager of the festival. 

"After last summer's spectacle in the forest of Forestland, when Shaquille O'Neal and Fedde Le Grand arrived, we are honored to announce the local superstar Baby Lasagna as the first performer of the new Forestland. Marko Purišić and his band will return to Croatia after the EU/UK tour in which they will visit 16 countries and perform 21 concerts, and we expect a new album that should arrive soon", adds Mikac.

Over the past 12 editions, over four hundred performers have taken part in the festival, artists, singers, DJs and performers from Australia to Mexico and the USA, from Norway and Sweden to Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia and Italy. 

Last year, Međimurje was visited by more than 8.000 visitors because of Forestland, and if we know that some come a day earlier, while others stay 1 or 2 nights, then we can roughly estimate that over 15.000 nights were spent during the two days of the event. 

"Forestland is one of our longest-running festivals, it was created here in Međimurje as an initiative of a few young men, it is held continuously and we are recognized in the region and the world", he states Kreso Bishop from the Forest organization. 

"We are always thinking about what we can do better, stronger, differently. We build Forest for 365 days, it takes place over 48 hours, so often everything we create is not consumed by the audience. In 2025, we decided to make a turn, return to the original impression of the festival, but also add a new rock - electro sound created by artists like Baby Lasagna", reveals the Bishop.

Forestland in 2025 will be held from July 18 to 19 at the well-known location of Forestland Park.

"In the well-known festival format, Forest25 lasts from Friday until Sunday at noon, the three stages are well-known, from the Forestroom, to the Forestland stage, and there is also a third stage that is always a little surprise. We are preparing several surprises, and that part of the Circus Arborum, or forest circus square, is something new", continues the Bishop. 

He adds that the past two years have been demanding in terms of time. "But we hope that this time such challenges will bypass us and that thousands of visitors will enjoy everything we are planning. The new edition brings various news, and we will announce all of this throughout the winter and spring, as preparations continue", he says.

In addition to the musical piece, the famous Forest Tattoo, Graffiti Jam, Čudesna šuma, but also a spectacular night light show, and of course, dancing under the stars at the only festival in Croatia where the music doesn't stop, await us at Forest.

The organizers of this largest continental electronic music festival made a step forward this year and improved the production of the event, and performed stars such as Shaquille O'Neal and Fedde Le Grand. 

It is a great success for the organizers, because getting such a globally known name is a great recognition for the festival. Big foreign music names really watch and pay attention to where they will perform, regardless of the financial benefit. The Forestlanda brand has been carefully built for 13 years and is well known throughout Europe, which is confirmed by the lineup of performers every year. 

Tickets will be available in the www.ulaz.hr system from January 15 at the first popular price of 25 euros for both festival days.
