Focus also on gastronomic events

U June a gastronomic event was held Kvarner Shrimp Festival on the waterfront in the center of Rabac. Top delicacies from Kvarner shrimp caught by fishermen members of the Local Action Group in Alba Fisheries were prepared for the visitors by local caterers, and the menu included shrimp risotto, shrimp polenta, homemade pasta with shrimp, and various cuttlefish salads and other delicacies. . 

Since the first edition, the Kvarner Shrimp Festival has emphasized the importance of the excellence of local ingredients, so visitors could taste the wines of award-winning winemakers: Vina Baćac, Vina Juričić, Vina Romeo, Vina Fuhtar, Vinogradi San Martino and Vina Matiška along with Kvarner shrimp.

The Kvarner Shrimp Festival, in addition to seafood delicacies and top wines, also brings a musical treat; Natali Dizdar, and Zvonimir Šestak Standards Quartet.

The Kvarner Shrimp Festival project was approved based on FLAG Alba's competition from the Local Development Strategy in Fisheries, and the project holder is the Tourist Board of the Town of Labin.  This event is co-financed by the European Union from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund. The Kvarner Shrimp Festival was extremely well attended.

The Tourist Board of the City of Labin has been the holder for the past year two projects awarded by FLAG Alba from the Local Development Strategy in Fisheries, and applied for another competition, which she hopes to achieve.

During the summer season, the Night Tour of the Old Town in Labin is traditionally held on Tuesdays, Street Music on Wednesdays, promenade concerts on the Riva in Rabac, and the Istrian Lifestyle Hand made and gourmet Festival on Thursdays.

This summer it was held for the first time Wine & Music night at a new location in the town of Labin. Wine tasting of local winemakers in the beautifully decorated Park of Croatian Veterans with relaxing music. The first Wine& Music night was marked by the Robert Mikuljan Trio. At the request of visitors, the event was repeated in August and was again very well attended.
