The beauties of Plitvice, Karlovac and Lika-Senj counties in a promotional film for the markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland

The beauties of the Plitvice Lakes National Park and the destinations of Karlovac and Lika-Senj counties will be shown through the promotional film "My Destination" in the markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which include more than 110 million native speakers.

In cooperation with the Karlovac and Lika-Senj County Tourist Boards and the Plitvice Lakes National Park, investments have been made to promote the destination through a unique promotional film format where famous German actor Oliver Hörner will show the most beautiful corners of the two counties.

"We are in the long-standing Lika-Karlovac cluster and now we are in this production together because we have mutual interests and we believe that this promotional film will resonate well on the German market.", said the director of the Lika-Senj County Tourist Board, Ivan Radošević. 

Director of the Karlovac County Tourist Board Željko Fanjak emphasized that he was extremely pleased to be continuously cooperating with colleagues from Lika-Senj County as well as the Pointers team working in co-production with Blue Planet on marketing materials for the German market. 

"Tourists from the German-speaking area are extremely important to us, and the Plitvice Lakes area alone carries 50% of tourist traffic.", said Fanjak and added that he believes that the joint promotional film will be a good success.

The director of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, Tomislav Kovačević, said that German guests are the most numerous visitors in the Plitvice Lakes National Park and in the entire region. He emphasized that we are in a destination that has entered the top 100 world sustainable destinations and that German guests are known for their responsibility towards nature and the environment and are always welcome guests.

"Thanks to high-quality cooperation with two county tourist boards, Lika-Senj and Karlovac, and thanks to cooperation with thirteen local tourist boards and the Plitvice Lakes National Park, this production project was realized.", said Krunoslav Weinpert - Croatian producer and director of Pointers travel.

The film is co-produced by Croatian Pointers travel and Berlin's Blue Planet, which has made numerous promotional films in more than 70 world destinations in its more than two decades. It will be broadcast directly on the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) markets, but also beyond, and on some of the most watched TV channels. It will be broadcast at least 40 times on eight TV stations, which guarantees excellent reach. 

Well-known German actor Oliver Hörner said that this is his fifth promotional film in Croatia for the German market and that Plitvice Lakes and the Lika-Senj and Karlovac counties are full of beautiful places that are very interesting to the German market.

In the Plitvice Lakes National Park, shots will be taken in the most attractive locations such as Lake Kozjak, Donja jezera, Veliki slap, the location where Winnetou was filmed, the Lička kuća restaurant, which is a combination of Lika and top gastronomy, and Hotel Jezero.
