Bol "lost" the director of TZ on the eve of the tourist season

The director of the Tourist Board of the municipality of Bol on Brač, Ante Trutanić, is leaving the post of director of the Bol tourist board, i.e. he is counting his last days in that position according to the decision of the Administrative Court and the Ministry of Tourism.

Namely, the Tourist Council, announced the Mayor of Bol Municipality Katarina Marčić, who by function is also the president of that body, to act in accordance with the ruling of the Administrative Court and the decision of the Ministry of Tourism and to relieve Anto Trutanić of the position he has held since August 2022, reports Free Dalmatia.

The Administrative Court ruled in September of last year that at the time of the election Mr. Trutanić did not have enough work experience in jobs that correspond to the degree of education prescribed by the Ordinance on special conditions that must be met by employees of tourist associations.

Previously, he was elected to this position on the fourth attempt, and his election was confirmed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, finding nothing controversial or problematic, and he received permission to be entered in the Register of the Tourist Board as the only person authorized to represent. 

However, the former director of the Bola Tourist Board, Markito Marinković (who did not compete for the position of tourist director), did not think so, and he complained and initiated a lawsuit in the Administrative Court against the Ministry of Tourism, considering that the relevant Ministry made a mistake when it deleted him from the register and at the same time allowed his entry to the newly elected director Trutanić, who, according to his claims and argumentation, did not meet the conditions of the competition for the election of the director. After that, the Administrative Court made a decision on Mr. However, Trutanić did not have enough work experience for the position of director of TZ Bol and is requesting his dismissal. 

On the basis of that court decision, the Ministry of Tourism issued a new decision in December of last year, rejecting Ante Trutanić's entry in the Register of the Tourist Board because he does not meet the requirements for that position. The responsible persons in the Bol Tourist Board did not do so, but asked the relevant Ministry for additional clarifications, because in the newly issued decision it is stated that TZ director Trutanić is "refused to be entered in the register" instead of being deleted from the register because he was already entered in the register .

The whole story and twists and turns got its epilogue recently when a finding was received from the Ministry of Tourism in which the Tourist Council of Bol is asked to act in accordance with the decision of the Administrative Court and the Ministry of Tourism and to dismiss Anto Trutanić from his duties as director.

The super election year in Bol takes on a new dimension.

Thus, a public tender will soon be announced for the election of the director of the Tourist Board of Bol, who according to the regulations should be elected within the legal term of 6 months, while the mayor of the Municipality of Bol Katarina Marčić hopes that Bol will get the tourist director before the start of the main season.
