Quality photography today is a matter of personal hygiene.

Any serious tourist entity, and especially accommodation facilities, should have professional photos. That has long been the standard. Or at least it should be.

With this goal in mind, TZO Punat decided to co-finance photography in private accommodation, in order to raise the overall quality of the destination and thus directly help their renters, because quality photography is one of the main advertising media for various booking portals.

Considering how to find tourist boards that can help the private sector given the situation in terms of significantly reduced tourist traffic caused by the coronavirus epidemic, TZO Punat decided to co-finance photography of accommodation capacities of private renters in the amount of 500 kuna, per catering provider in households. The goal is of course improvements and better visibility and presentation in difficult business conditions.

"I have been an amateur photographer since '82 and I am always happy when I see good photos primarily of our destination, because photography speaks more than a thousand words. The reactions of the landlords are very good and we hereby tell them that there is no hurry because the action will last as long as necessary, because we want to create a database of photos that will promote Punat and Stara Baška, and help all landlords without exception.”Pointed out Branko Karabaić, director of TZO Punat.

Local photographers from Punat were hired to take photos. “Private landlords (individuals) will be able to register with the Tourist Office of TZO Punat whose employees will check whether the registered landlord has settled all legal and other obligations to the tourist board, KD Črnika and the municipality of Punat, and introduce them to the contacts of photographers with whom they can arrange a photo shoot", States from TZO Punat.

This is one simple concrete move to raise the quality of the destination. Also, a tool that should be an integral part and only one of the added values ​​of the quality brand, ie branding of family accommodation in destinations. Those who are serious about tourism will get involved in a family accommodation branding project, while others will stagnate.
