Competitiveness of the tourist economy: approved grants in the amount of 3,4 million euros for 325 projects

Minister of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina made the Decision on the selection of projects and the awarding of non-reimbursable grants based on the Program "Competitiveness of the tourist economy" for the year 2024, which grants grants for 325 projects in total  in the amount of 3,4 million euros.

All projects should contribute to raising the competitiveness of the tourism economy, and the program puts it in the center of attention green and digital transition of entrepreneurs in the tourism sector through the development of sustainable tourism products, improvement of processes in hospitality business acceptable to the environment, circular economy, increase of energy efficiency, accessibility and innovation in business processes. Beneficiaries of non-reimbursed grants are small business entities, registered for hospitality and/or tourism activities and OPGs (family farms). 

"With this program, we continue the continuity of supporting the competitiveness of the tourism economy, and every year we expand the program to new stakeholders. So this year, charter boats are also included, and we have expanded the restaurant category to include bistros and pastry shops. We want to support all stakeholders in the sector, depending on current needs, and I believe that these 325 projects will further raise the quality of our tourism offer." said Minister Tonči Glavina. 

Measure A supports investments in energy-efficient tangible assets and green transition, as well as digitalization and improvement of existing work processes HOTELS (Hotel, Heritage Hotel, Diffusion Hotel,  Aparthotel, Tourist resort, Tourist apartments, Boarding house, Spa types of hotels, Integral hotel), and 133 applicants will receive support in the total amount of 1.744.500 euros.  

Measure B supports investments in energy-efficient tangible assets and green transition, as well as digitization and improvement of existing work processes. CAMP (Camp or Rest Camp) or to new Camps or Rest Camps in the NUTS 2 region: Pannonia or Northern Croatia. 13 applicants will receive support through Measure B in the total amount of 173.000 euros.

Through measure C, the existing ones are supported catering establishments with year-round operations who have one of the valid solutions from the Restaurants group - Restaurant, Inn, Bistro or Patisserie for investments in energy-efficient tangible assets and green transition, as well as digitization and improvement of work processes in the provision of catering services, and support will be given to 148 applicants in the total amount of 1.198.500 .XNUMX euros.

Investments are supported through measure D OPG - family farms and PG - farmers into new wineries or tasting rooms, as well as digitalization and e-filling facilities at the existing OPG or PG that has a solution for catering services. 23 applicants will receive support through Measure D in the total amount of 192.700 euros.

Through measure E, investments in green and digital transition of existing vessels for excursions which are registered in accordance with the Ordinance on the types of nautical tourism vessels and existing vessels intended for renting with or without a crew and providing accommodation services for guests on the vessel (charter vessel). 8 applicants will receive support through Measure E in the total amount of 95.100 euros.
