Croatia Airlines is replacing existing planes with Airbus A220 planes

The Croatian national airline, Croatia Airlines, will create an even better and more competitive airline offer in the Republic of Croatia with its new fleet.

In accordance with the Post-Covid strategy of Croatia Airlines adopted in August last year, with the aim of renewing the fleet and increasing the efficiency of operations and further strengthening the competitive ability, the Croatian national airline made a decision to until 2026 replace all existing ones planes to the new unified "single type"  with a jet-powered fleet. An Airbus 220 aircraft, manufactured by the European manufacturer Airbus, was chosen for the renewal of the fleet.

The replacement of the Croatia Airlines fleet will be realized through an order 6 new A220 aircraft, which were contracted as an addition to the existing contract that the company concluded in 2008 for A319 aircraft, which were then replaced by A2015 in 320. neo type, so that finally today, after the adopted strategy for the new development cycle, the A220 type would be chosen, with a capacity of 127 and 148 seats.
