Days of the UHPA 2024: A continuation of the positive trend in the pre-season is expected

UHPA Days 2024 were opened in Umag last night signing a contract on business cooperation based on which UHPA will promote Istria as a recommended domestic destination during 2024.

Days of UHPA are held from March 19 to 21 in the Hotel Residence Garden Istra Plava laguna with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Croatian Tourist Board and the tourist boards of the County of Istria and the city of Umag.

"We are optimistic about tourist traffic because we are continuing the trend of tourist traffic in the pre-season and I believe that the next quarter will also be a continuation of positive trends", said, among other things, the director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić which expects the first major influx of foreign and domestic tourists for Easter.

"Our goal is to connect regional and local tourist boards and agencies. We know that Istria is recognized, but there is always a step forward. Seventy percent of guests in the pre- and post-season come through travel agencies, which gives us additional strength, and as for the Easter holidays, the results they show that another good pre-season awaits us", He said Tomislav Fain, President of UHPA.

The days of UHPA continued today with the presentation of partners and lectures on affordable and sustainable tourism. After that, a panel discussion was held on the topic "Attractiveness of a career in tourism and the needs of the Croatian market", followed by a tour of the destination with a snack at the Coronica Winery.

Tomorrow, on the last day of the annual gathering of travel agencies, a B2B Networking Corner will be held in which numerous HTZ representatives and companies and partners will participate, and the program will end with a tour of the destination with lunch organized by the Tourist Board of Istria County.
