The largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean, ACI dd in the first nine months of 2024, it recorded growth in business results with an emphasis on revenue from sales, especially from connection services.

According to the nine-month report, ACI achieved growth in sales revenue for 2 million euros or 7% in relation to the comparative period from the previous year. The most significant increase in sales revenue was recorded in four system units, which accounted for 50% of the total increase in sales revenue.

A total of EUR 22 million was invested in the system, which currently has 2,1 marinas all over the Adriatic coast, in the observed period, while a net profit of EUR 3,6 million was realized.

"The 2024 nautical season was challenging, but it also recorded positive results. Despite operating with the same capacities, in the first nine months, ACI achieved a growth in operating income of EUR 1,9 million, which is an increase of 6% compared to the same period last year. It is proof of a good assessment of the competition, the state of the market and a stable business policy. The biggest growth was recorded from the annual mooring services, which clearly indicates the high satisfaction of our long-term clients, while ACI marinas Split and Dubrovnik were key, contributing 32% to the total growth. As the season comes to an end, we continue to analyze the achieved results in order to effectively plan future business steps. The management's focus in the upcoming period will certainly remain on the extension of concession contracts, as a basic prerequisite for further investments", he pointed out Kristijan Pavić, President of the Management Board of ACI dd

In the first nine months of the current year, the national nautical chain achieved EUR 30,9 million in business income, which compared to the comparative period last year represents growth of 1,9 million euros, and it is primarily the result of the growth in income from the annual connection service. In the reporting period, sales revenue increased by 2 million euros compared to the comparable period, which represents a growth of 7%, and the largest growth was recorded from the annual connection service in the amount of 1,5 million euros.

Accordingly, the most significant increase in sales revenue was recorded in ACI marinas Split, Dubrovnik, Korčula and Rovinj, which accounted for 50% of the total increase in sales revenue.

The realized net profit in the reporting period amounted to EUR 3,6 million, and the operating result was EUR 0,6 million lower compared to the comparative period. With regard to the dynamics of ACI's operations, in the first nine months there were no significant changes in business results compared to the usual dynamics of achieving results, but there was a visible increase in income in the first six months compared to the last quarter, according to ACI.

Furthermore, ACI points out that the Company's business expenses increased by 2,9 million euros or 12% and are primarily the result of the increase in salary costs in accordance with the Collective Agreement, which permanently ties the salary to the Regulation on the minimum wage, and whose changes affected reported cost growth. It is about the cost of investing in own personnel, i.e. increasing the material rights of the company's employees, as key stakeholders in the further operations of the national nautical chain.

In the reporting period, a total of 2,1 million euros was invested in the system, primarily in the rehabilitation of anchor systems and piers in certain marinas. Nevertheless, both in the last quarter and throughout the year, as well as in the coming period, investments remain focused exclusively on necessary investments in order to maintain the quality of service of the national nautical chain.

"The limiting factor of the strategic development of the business is still primarily the issue of extending concession contracts, to which the Company's management is currently paying considerable attention, since all ACI's concessions, with the exception of the "Veljko Barbieri" marina in Slano and the Žut anchorage, expire in 2030. Namely, the "Veljko Barbieri" marina's concession contract expires in 2027, therefore, in the further continuation of the company's operations, the focus is precisely on the solution to the issue of extending the concessions." conclude from ACI.
