Getting to know the Vivodina vineyard area and enjoying the tasting of many quality wines and local delicacies is the main goal of the "Vivodina Wine & Walk Weekend" tourist event that will be held for the first time in Karlovac County.
Participants will be able to visit eight famous wineries. The walk begins from the wine cellar of Josip Vrbanek along the river Kupa and moves uphill to the center of Vivodina. The second half of the walk is of light intensity and moves completely downhill. The complete route passes right next to the vineyards and beautiful places of the Vivodina region within the Nature Park Žumberak - Samoborsko gorje, and follows the section on which you will drive a week later World Rally Championship.
Karlovac County Prefect Martina Furdek Hajdin pointed out that the goal of Karlovac County is to encourage various tourist attractions and events that will take place throughout the year and throughout the county, which will encourage the arrival and stay of both domestic and foreign tourists.
Director of the Tourist Board of Karlovac County Željko Fanjak he noted that due to great interest, the event was extended to two days, although it was originally planned for only one day. He also points out that due to the announcement of the Vivodin event, more than half of the available accommodation capacities in the wider Ozalj and Vivodin area have been filled, which is a very positive indicator of a well-organized event.
