During the Zagreb Light Festival, 19% more arrivals and 15% more overnight stays were achieved

According to the latest data from the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb, the recently held Festival of Lights in Zagreb recorded an extraordinary increase in tourist results. Namely, compared to last year's Festival, it was recorded 19% more arrivals, which makes a total of 15.266 visitors and 15% more nights, which amounts to 30.395 overnight stays.

Among foreign guests, the most arrivals and overnight stays were made by guests from Germany, USA, Italy, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"We are extremely happy with the achieved results, which show that the Zagreb Light Festival has become a key factor in encouraging tourist activities in the first quarter. What is especially pleasing is that the results are better than the record year 2019, i.e. the number of arrivals increased by 7%, and overnight stays by 12%. I would like to thank all our partners, institutional and private, for helping in another great realization, and above all I thank the men and women of Zagreb who once again proved to be hospitable hosts who love the Zagreb Light Festival", said the director of TZGZ, Martina Bienenfeld.

We would like to remind you that the sixth Zagreb Light Festival took place in the period from March 20 to 24, and visitors could visit a total of 29 attractions in 24 locations.

The festival has been included in the international organization Festival of Lights International since its first edition in 2017, putting it in the spotlight around the world with cities such as Berlin, New York and many others.
