Five winners of the Rural Tourism Sunflower 2023 from Karlovac County

As part of the "Suncokret rural tourism of Croatia 2023" awards, as many as five awards arrived in Karlovac County. More than 80 prizes were awarded in eight categories, for which numerous projects applied. 

• Silver certificate in the category "Craft tourism" Tabor Magdić from Slunj won. 
• Bronze charter in the category "Traditional (rural) households" they won Traditional houses of the Koran from Karlovac. 
• Bronze charter in the category "Wine tourism" was won by Vinarija Lešćanec from Ozalj.
• Bronze charter in the category "Traditional (rural) gastronomy" he won Hunting lodge Muljava.
• Special recognition in the category "Active tourism facilities in rural areas" he won Excursion for children Contessa.

"I am proud of all of you, because work, effort and persistence always pay off. These awards once again strengthen and confirm the positioning of Karlovac County as the most visited continental county, after the City of Zagreb. The determination of Karlovac County is to enable year-round tourism in our county through systematic and continuous work , and not only in the season. We also want to extend the stay of our guests so that they can fully experience the charms of our beautiful county. Well done to everyone." said the prefect of Karlovac County Martina Furdek Hajdin which she handed over awards in the category of Craft tourism.

The Mayor of the City of Slunj, Mirjana Puškarić, received the award for Tabor Magdić, and the director of the Regional Tourist Board of Karlovac County, Željko Fanjak, received the award for the Contessa Children's Trip. The mayor of Ozalj Lidija Bošnjak also gave her support.
