Flix as a global passenger carrier offering sustainable and affordable travel, operating in 39 countries worldwide, reported a record summer season (Q2/Q3, 2022). Thanks to the strong return of demand after the pandemic and the growing importance of environmentally friendly mobility, Flix increased the number of passengers by 130% worldwide in the period from April to September 2022, compared to the same period last year. The business recovery is the result of the global Flix expansion, and the number of transported passengers surpassed the pre-pandemic level of the number of passengers from 2019 at the level of the entire Flix Group.

For its 34 million passengers, Flix connected more than 3.000 destinations in Europe, North America, Turkey and Brazil to its network and ensured high profitability during the seasonal months at the level of the entire group.

"I am proud that Flix has come back stronger than ever after the pandemic thanks to our continuous investments in sustainable recovery. We will continue to invest in the future of mobility in a profitable and sustainable way. Investing in strengthening the markets in America, Canada, Brazil, Portugal and the Baltic countries during the pandemic, it turned out to be another bold and successful move in the direction of realizing our vision," he said André Schwämmlein, Flix CEO.

In Croatia is in the same period from April to the end of September 1.2 million passengers were transported on national and international lines. Such a significant number of passengers marked a record second and third quarter in Croatia as well, surpassing 2019 as well.

"Passengers have undoubtedly returned to the sustainable, economically and environmentally friendly green Flix buses. Even more, they travel more than in the pre-pandemic period. This figure is an indication to us that the demand has almost tripled compared to last year. This only confirms the need of our passengers for mobility, either for business or tourist needs. It is precisely for this reason that it is important to approach the opening of the Croatian market seriously and without further delays, and to ensure smooth traffic connections within Croatia, and then also to other European countries. Croatian citizens have the same right as all other travelers use the sustainable and affordable mobility offered to residents of the rest of the European Union", he said Ante Grbeša, director of the CEE South region.
