For the first time in history, hoteliers from Munich are coming to Croatia for labor

The workforce problem is not only an issue of Croatian tourism, but of the entire industry, especially European tourism. And as always, those who have the best conditions usually win in the market competition. European hotels from Austria, Germany and other European countries offer much better working conditions, not only wages, but also a stable and stimulating year-round business environment. 

For the first time in history, the best hotels from Bavaria are coming to Croatia for labor. I guess that says enough about the quality of the workforce in Croatia, a quality that they know how to appreciate in Germany. 

Namely, it is a tailor-made fair Hotel Job Fair which is organized just for them in Zagreb and Split on September 14 and 15. 

The story surrounding the Hotel Job Fair began last year, when Petar Aračić and his partner offered the market a different model of job fairs in Belgrade, Sarajevo and Skopje, which turned out to be a complete success. 

Namely, the advantage of a job fair conceived in this way is that candidates have the opportunity to talk with recruiters from the hotel one-on-one and immediately sign an employment contract and practically start working the next day. 

Thanks to the success, the organizers were contacted directly by hoteliers from Bavaria gathered in an informal association, and in front of the Hotel Job Fair, they suggested that they create a tailor-made job fair just for them in Zagreb and Split.

Thus, hotels from Munich are coming to Zagreb and Split, led by the hotel Bayerischer Hof, Cortiina Hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Munich Arabellapark, Courtyard by Marriott Munich, Hilton Munich, Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski, Le Méridien Munich, Marriott Munich, The Rilano Hotel, The Westin Grand Munchen and Steigenberger Hotel. The list of hotels is the very top of the hotel industry and it is about top luxury hotels that are looking for quality and experienced workforce. 

"The job fair is for all people from the hotel industry who are interested in jobs in the largest and most prestigious hotels in Germany. The goal of the fair is to facilitate the path to the desired job and to connect quality staff with hotels, who in this way will get motivated and experienced staff. This event takes place in Zagreb and Split and provides the ultimate networking platform for both candidates and recruiters.Tailor-made approach to the fair has proven to be the best way to find the workforce as well as to present the hotel/brand." points out Petar Aračić from Hotel Job Fair.

Until now, the existing fairs were linked to a complete offer, such as tourism days, hunting and slave tourism fairs, etc... depending on the region, and this was the first time that a separate and specialized fair, with the form of a one-day fair and a registered audience , adds Aračić and emphasizes that it is a very open and honest form, without intermediaries and through direct communication.

"Our first job fair was last year in Belgrade, then in Sarajevo and Skopje and the fairs attracted a very significant success because it was the first time that such a performance was performed in any market, especially in the hotel industry. On the other hand, for the first time, hotel accounts appear in the form of exhibitors, but with the same specific task. All candidates can visit all exhibitors and then decide who to contact directly." states Aračić.

This is the first time in history that hotels from Munich come together to Croatia to look for labor, and that in the position of someone who accesses the labor market, not that the labor market accesses them. 

"We are a digital platform that turns into a living product. Everyone must register, this is not a walk-in fair, only pre-registered visitors can attend. Of course, registration is free, but everyone must register first. From the experience of the Hotel Job Fair so far, the partners have contracts ready and some candidates were immediately offered a contract, and the people who came to the fair started working practically immediately. It is not all the rest of the story that they will be contacted. This is one of the goals of the tailor-made Hotel Job fair." concludes Aračić.

Finally, this year the organizers plan to hold several Hotel Job Fairs in the region, but there are also plans to hold fairs in Dubai and London.
