Foreign tourists can no longer visit Hagia Sophia for free

An entrance fee is also charged for Muslim visitors who come to pray, but do not have Turkish citizenship.

Turkey has started charging a fee of 25 euros (about 500 earlier) to foreign tourists visiting Hagia Sophia, Istanbul's famous sixth-century monument that was controversially converted into a mosque in 2020.
