Forten Group dd has concluded a final contract with Karisma Resort International (KHA four doo), a hotel company based in Croatia, for the sale of its 25% stake in KHA four doo
In a separate transaction, Fortenova grupa dd agreed to take over a 26% stake in ANP Energija doo, owned by an open-ended alternative venture capital investment fund with a private offering - Prosperus FGS, whereby Fortenova grupa dd acquired a controlling stake in ANP Energija doo
ANP Energija doo is the sole owner of Energija Gradec doo, a company that owns five bioenergy plants in Slavonia and Central Croatia with an installed capacity of 9,8 MW, which use biomass from agricultural companies of the Forten Group to produce electricity from biogas.
"This represents a further step in the strategy of the Forten Group, which is based on the sale of non-core activities and focuses on the core business groups of retail, food and agriculture. With its consolidated stake in these bioenergy plants, the Forten Group not only invests directly in financial improvements, but continues to develop a more environmentally sustainable model of agricultural production for the future. ” said James Pearson, chief financial officer of Forten Group.
Recently, Forten's group and the world's leading integrated tourism group TUI, one of the previous partners owned by Karisma Hotels Adriatic (KHA), reached an agreement TUI takes a 33,3 percent stake Forten Group in that holding company that manages Hotels Koločep, Hotels Živogošće and the company Adriasense Zagreb.
Also, Springwater Capital has taken over the Compass network of the Forten Group, so Forten’s group has completed an exit from the tourism sector that is not its core business.
