Croatia Airlines from 13 May establishes for the first time a direct flight between the capital of the Czech Republic and Split. The planes of the national airline on the route Prague-Split will transport everything until October 9th on Mondays and Saturdays. The flights will be operated by Dash 8-Q400 aircraft with a capacity of 76 seats, and return air tickets are also available to passengers on this line at a price starting at 149 euros.
With the aim of promoting this new possibility of arrival in the center of Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia Airlines, Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board, the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board in cooperation with the representative office of the Croatian Tourist Board in Prague held a joint presentation to Czech business (B2B) journalists and travel agents.
By the way, almost all airlines from 2022 have returned to Split Airport - the busiest Croatian airport during the 2023 summer season - based on the published summer flight schedule for 2019. It's about a total of 52 airlines that will connect Split with 14.000 European cities this year with 89 flights.
The fact that in March of this year more than 50 passengers passed through Split Airport, which is 18 more than in the same month last year, shows that Split Airport continues its positive trend. This achieved an identical result in terms of the number of passengers as in 2019, whereby the majority of traffic is still achieved by Croatia Airlines.
At Split Airport, they expect to reach a record 2019, when they had 3,3 million passengers.
A new seasonal line Prague - Dubrovnik is also planned
At the presentation in Prague, the summer flight schedule of Croatia Airlines in 2023 was presented, as part of which the introduction of new seasonal lines Prague - Dubrovnik, with which the Croatian national airline offers passengers an even greater choice of trips between the Czech Republic and Croatia during this year's tourist season.
Direct flights Prague - Dubrovnik they are planned on Thursdays in the period from May 18 to mid-October 2023, and return air tickets are available to passengers at promotional prices starting at 149 euros. Airbus aircraft with a capacity of 144 and 174 seats will fly on the route.
During the tourist season, Croatia Airlines plans to connect Croatia with 24 international destinations, and the planes will fly on 47 international routes. In total, more than 17.000 flights are planned, and more than 1,820.000 seats will be offered.
