"Compared to last year, this year we really can’t complain. The current number of operations at Croatian airports is large compared to last year. And the announcements for July are great. We almost go back to the figures we had in the pre-crisis year, in terms of connectivity to emitting markets. Of course, the capacity and number of weekly flights is smaller, which is logical, but I would say that we can be satisfied that we are already connected with a large number of countries in Europe. The only drawback is the current disconnection with the UK, which is a consequence of current epidemiological measures, but I believe that with the change of restrictive measures in the UK, airlines will decide to introduce routes to us", Points out Gojko Mavrinac, editor-in-chief of the Croatian Aviation portal, and points out that without association, we will not achieve airlines connecting Croatia outside the summer season.
"The tourism sector must create demand", Emphasizes Mavrinac.
It was the aviation industry in Croatia that was one of the main topics of the new tourist loud thinking - Homo Turisticus, in which he only had the honor of hosting the editor-in-chief of the portal Croatian Aviation, Gojko Mavrinac, who daily brings information and news from Croatian airports and airlines operating to Croatia.
How connected is Croatia with emitting markets this year? And what can he expect in the future? How to extend the season through flights outside the summer season? How to achieve cooperation with foreign airlines? How much has the Covid19 crisis harmed global airlines? What is the role of Croatia Airlines? What is the role and opportunity of charter companies? - are just some of the topics of the new podcast Homo Turisticus.
