The Croatian National Tourist Board is organizing the award ceremony "Golden Pen" which will be awarded for the 17th time to selected foreign tourist journalists and bloggers for the best media coverage of Croatia as a tourist destination in the last, extremely demanding and difficult tourist year. With their positive and affirmative reporting and content publishing, selected journalists, bloggers and influencers from Austria, Belgium, Slovenia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Poland and the USA contributed to Croatia's visibility and promotion in Europe and the world.
The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 16 at the Park Plaza Histria Hotel in Pula, starting at 18:30 p.m. to participate 17 foreign journalists, bloggers and influencers accompanied by employees from the offices of the Representations of Croatian Tourist Boards abroad.
Given the prescribed epidemiological conditions, several representatives from three categories participate in the award ceremony and organized trip, ie the winners of the award for the best reportage of print or online media (magazines, newspapers), for the best reportage of electronic media (TV, radio) and for the best blog post (bloggers, social networks). In each category, the most significant award "Golden Pen" - Grand Prix will be selected.
The hosts and organizers of the event are the Croatian National Tourist Board, the Tourist Board of the Istrian County and partners at the local level, ie the Tourist Board of the City of Pula together with other tourist boards of Southern Istria.
Today, June 14, the participants of the study trip will visit Pula, ie the city center, the Arena and the House of Istrian Olive Oil. On Tuesday, June 15, we plan to go to Brijuni, get to know the Small Fisheries Academy in Fažana and visit the archeological site Nezakcij, while on Wednesday, June 16 we plan to go to the Archaeological Park Vižula in Medulin, visit Malina, tour Vodnjan and the theme park Kažuni . On the same day, in the evening, an awards ceremony will be held, and before leaving, on Thursday, June 17, it is possible to visit the Pula Aquarium.
With the long-standing award "Golden Pen", the Croatian National Tourist Board emphasizes the value of a professional approach to writing and reporting on Croatia in foreign media and thus wants to thank foreign journalists for their contribution to the promotion of Croatian tourism in the world.
