Today, the Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac presented 14 grant agreements for projects within the Call "Improving the access of vulnerable groups to the labor market in the tourism and hospitality sector II" in the total value of more than HRK 27 million.
The Call will fund social inclusion around 1400 people with disabilities in the labor market of the tourism and hospitality sector and it will directly respond to the social needs of persons with disabilities through the promotion and implementation of educational programs.
"Projects will be implemented throughout Croatia and we are pleased that people with disabilities will have the opportunity to be educated to work in tourism and hospitality and be ready to enter the labor market in a sector with high labor needs. Ministry of Tourism and Sports various activities continues to encourage the social inclusion of persons with disabilities in tourism and sports, and the importance of inclusive and accessible tourism is recognized in the new Sustainable Tourism Development Strategy until 2030, as well as through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. with quality education and I wish successful project implementation ", said Minister Brnjac.
Eligible beneficiaries of this Call are registered adult education institutions or registered professional associations in tourism and hospitality, and projects to be funded under this Call will be implemented by the University of Algebra, the Zagreb Open University, the Poreč Public Open University, the Vocational Rehabilitation Institution and Employment of Persons with Disabilities - URIHO, Association for Development Projects - Acta non verba, Diopter Open University, PESG Sports School, Master's School - Institution for Adult Education, Marko Babić Vocational High School, Dubrovnik School of Tourism and Hospitality, Knowledge Pyramid School, Public Open University Osijek, Libar Open University, Galbanum Adult Education Institution.
