With the summer campaign Summer BUZZG, the Zagreb Tourist Board created a special campaign dedicated to the green and sustainable segment of Zagreb's tourist offer. Entitled Green BUZZG, the campaign is directed towards the so-called slow travel trend in the travel industry, the main goal of which is to experience the destination through local stories, interaction with nature, a sustainable and relaxed way of traveling.

"For the last few years, sustainable and green tourism have been the focus of our activities, therefore we have placed the campaign entirely on digital channels and additionally devoted ourselves to green Zagreb. Through Green BUZZG, we communicate Zagreb, which is abundant in green areas and, despite the urban and fast-paced lifestyle, offers a kind of detox in numerous parks, forests, lakes, the Sava river and, the lungs of our city - Medvednica", said Martina Bienenfeld, director of the Zagreb Tourist Board.

The campaign addresses the broadcast markets of Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Serbia, and of course, Croatia. Considering everything that Zagreb has been through in the last two years (two earthquakes and a pandemic), the Zagreb tourist community is extremely satisfied with the tourism results so far, which have even exceeded expectations. This is further confirmed by a recent survey of the international travel analytics company and platform Mabrian, where Zagreb took first place in Europe according to the high level of overall visitor satisfaction with the tourist destination.

"In addition, we have another major international recognition for our city. Namely, Zagreb was declared the second best city in Europe for eating brunch, i.e. a mid-morning snack, according to research by the Uswitch.com portal, which compared the ratings of visitors to 235.000 restaurants in a number of European of the capital cities. The positive tourism trends we are witnessing today are the result of our targeted promotional activities, but also the effort, work and persistence of the Zagreb tourism industry, for which I hereby thank and congratulate", emphasizes Bienenfeld.
