As part of the European Mobility Week in Zagreb, a unique event or conference called Green Deal Mobility.

With the use of the most modern technologies, it is possible to take the first steps towards practical, affordable, healthy and environmentally friendly mobility. Climate change and unexpected natural disasters are directing cities to strive for zero emission of harmful gases and are driving individuals, companies and scientific institutions to rapidly find solutions for a greener future.

Renowned institutions and leading companies are turning to the concept of ESG, taking into account environmental, social and management factors in order to develop their business in accordance with the principles of sustainability. 

In order to bring these current topics closer to experts, but also to the general public, the Regional Energy and Climate Agency of Northwestern Croatia, City Mobility and Bird Incubator at the end of the European Mobility Week, from September 20 to 22, organize a conference called Green Deal Mobility.

The conference will be held at three locations in Zagreb: Hotel Zonar, Bird Incubator and Lake Jarun. It is a three-day event dedicated to the impact of urban mobility on the environment and climate, with a special emphasis on the educational role of the media.

With eminent speakers from the field of green transition and many dynamic panel discussions, the professional public will be delighted by an extremely interesting competition of startups in the field of sustainable mobility.

"The consequences of our actions today await us already tomorrow and everyone in their area should take their share of responsibility. This is precisely one of the key topics around which we will have an interesting dialogue at the panel discussion dedicated to ESG", directorhe waited Krešimir Dvorski, co-organizer of the Green Deal Mobility conference and one of the pioneers of sustainable micro-mobility who, in the past decade, introduced public bicycle and electric scooter systems through a mobile application in 50 cities and municipalities in Croatia and the region with partners.

On the first day of the event, a plenary session starts at 09.30:XNUMX a.m. in Hotel Zonar, followed by a series of interesting panel discussions. Topics such as e-mobility, the impact of the auto industry on the environment, battery disposal, hydrogen-based technologies te shared mobility systems such as public bicycles and electric scooters, they have intrigued the public for years and are the wave driving the green transition industry.

On Saturday, the conference moves to the largest AI entrepreneurial center in the region, the popular Bird Incubator, where the keynote speech will be given by Mr. Baerte de Brey, an expert in infrastructure construction strategy for hybrid and electric vehicles brought to Zagreb by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Croatia. With eminent speakers from the field of green transition and many dynamic panel discussions, the professional public will be delighted by an extremely interesting competition for startups in the field of sustainable mobility.

In the parking lot of the Bird Incubator, visitors will be able to test drive Decathlon and Nami scooters with a mandatory helmet, and a special treat is the opportunity to try out new car models, including the Audi Q4, VW ID 7, Škoda Enyaq and Hyundai Ioniq.

The Avant2go car sharing team will enable visitors to test the electric vehicle rental system that is gaining more and more users in Zagreb as a very economical and attractive alternative to owning your own vehicle. After the test drives, visitors will receive on-site information about the possibilities of purchasing and insuring electric vehicles.

As part of the conference, on Sunday, September 22, the organizers will organize and the first large-scale demobilization in these areas te training ground for safe driving.

The goal is to make the public and the media aware that vehicles such as electric scooters, bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards and other forms of environmentally conscious movement should be more represented in traffic.

Finally, let's say that this year's theme of the European Mobility Week is "Shared public spaces", and it emphasizes the importance of quality organization of public spaces, which through a series of improvements can directly affect the quality of life, increase safety, reduce noise and air pollution.
