HNS and Croatia Airlines continue their successful cooperation

The Croatian Football Association (HNS) and Croatia Airlines (CA) have agreed on the continuation of business cooperation, whereby the Croatian national airline remains the official airline of HNS and the Croatian national football team.

Agreement on extension of cooperation for more two years was signed by HNS President Marijan Kustić and Croatia Airlines President Jasmin Bajić, and the signing took place in the cockpit of the first new Airbus A220 aircraft, whose inclusion in the fleet in July of this year marked the beginning of the entire renovation of the Croatia Airlines fleet.  

Technical director of A and U-21 teams Stipe Pletikosa and HNS marketing manager Ante Cicvarić were present at the contract signing, and Croatia Airlines was represented by commercial affairs director Slaven Žabo, marketing director Anamarija Jurinjak and sales manager Marija Pavić.

"I thank the management of Croatia Airlines, led by Mr. Bajić, for the trust they have shown, and we are happy to continue the successful cooperation with our national airline. It is a nice idea that we are signing the contract in a new aircraft that symbolizes the renewal of the Croatia Airlines fleet, which is another similarity with our national team - sometimes refreshments, new players or new aircraft are needed in order to continue with successes and good results. to always have peaceful and pleasant, and sometimes celebratory flights together", said the president of HNS Marijan Kustić.

"During our cooperation with HNS so far, the greatest successes in the history of Croatian football have taken place, and I believe that in the future we will celebrate new great achievements of the Croatian A national team together. Extending the cooperation has additional symbolism, because the process of successfully rejuvenating the national team is happening at the same time as the start of reconstruction the entire fleet of Croatia Airlines with the new Airbus A220 aircraft, and we are really looking forward to new joint flights in the most modern aircraft of the new generation". he said Jasmin Bajić, President of the Management Board of Croatia Airlines.

HNS and Croatia Airlines thus continue their successful business cooperation, which began in 2018 after the Croatian national football team returned to Croatia on a ceremonial flight by Croatia Airlines with the silver medal won at the World Cup in Russia.

The cooperation so far was marked by two more exceptional successes of the Croatian football team, which won a bronze medal at the World Cup in Qatar in 2022 and a silver medal in the League of Nations in 2023. 

By the way, the tradition of transporting the Croatian football team from major competitions began 26 years ago, in July 1998, when the selected football team returned home on a Croatia Airlines plane with the bronze medal won at the World Cup in France.
