"With a multitude of different contents, interesting places and numerous promenades and educational paths, castles that you can visit and explore, famous wine roads and the widely known gastronomic offer of this region, the green ring of Zagreb is an ideal destination for an annual vacation, far from crowds and mass tourism. I am sure that these are the main reasons and the fact that vacation homes in Zagreb County are a total hit." she stated Ivana Alilović, director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board.
Looking at the type of accommodation, the majority of guests stayed in hotels, homestays, campsites and vacation homes.
There are more than fifty new accommodation facilities in Zagreb County, including twenty holiday homes of high quality and structure. "By mapping tourism, we identified that one of the key challenges is the inadequate structure and quality of accommodation facilities in Zagreb County. It is precisely with these results and the increase of high-quality accommodation that we create a concept of tourism development that is sustainable and of high added value. "Concluded Alilović.
