The HTZ and Expedia campaign achieved bookings worth more than 12 million dollars

Condé Nast Traveler singled out Croatia, Dubrovnik and the island of Hvar on the list of best destinations

Croatian tourist agency this year too, it carried out a promotional campaign on the channels of one of the world's largest travel platforms - ExpediaGroup. Excellent results were achieved from promotional activities, which were ongoing as part of this campaign on the American market from March to September 2024. Namely, the total value of realized reservations through the campaign amounts to $12.300.000 gross, while the biggest shift is visible in the data on the average length of stay of tourists who made a trip through the Expedia platform, which jumped to over seven nights compared to last year.

"Successful cooperation with our long-term partner Expedia Group is important for the promotion of Croatian tourism in America, our most important distant market from which we generate the largest tourist traffic. These results of the joint campaign prove that we have succeeded in directly influencing vacation reservations in Croatia, as well as the length of stay of American guests in our country with a significant increase in demand for higher quality accommodation", he said Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian Tourist Board, adding that it is American tourists who, with their trips outside the main summer season, greatly contribute to the results of Croatian tourism in the pre- and post-season periods.

The campaign included the creation of a Spotlight landing page on Expedia channels and additional promotional activities through various media channels, and in addition to HTZ, the Dubrovnik-Neretva County TZ, Split-Dalmatia County TZ, Zadar County TZ and Zadar TZ participated in the project. Ultimately, within the campaign, a total of more than 26.1 million impressions were delivered.
